"...with facility and spirit hard to be surpassed and breathtaking speed..." General-Anzeiger Bonn

"It's Hellen Weiß's natural approach which contrasts with her remarkable talent. There's no trace of  pretense, nothing is mannered or artificial. And this may well be the secret of her success. With every  performance she reveals a part of her personality..." DIE WELT

As a soloist she performed with leading orchestras such as the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the  Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Bremerhaven Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra della Toscana, Collegium  Musicum Basel, Orchestra San Marco Pordenone and North Czech Philharmonic in renowned concert  venues such as Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Berliner Philharmonie, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Laeiszhalle  Hamburg, Beethovenhaus Bonn, Stadtcasino Basel, Rudolfinum Prag and Berwaldhallen Stockholm.

Furthermore she received the EMCY Art for Music Prize, the Eduard-Söring-Prize from "Deutsche Stiftung  Musikleben" and, as a pianist, the Steinway-Prize for piano.

In 2020, her recording of the Kodaly Duo for record label Naxos was nominated for the Opus Klassik and  won the Pizzicato Supersonic Award. In 2024, cpo will release a new CD featuring sonatas by Dohnányi and  Strauss.

She regularly performs at music festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Mendelssohn festival Leipzig, the music festival "Heidelberger Frühling", in the concert series Hamburgische Vereinigung  von Freunden der Kammermusik, the European Weeks Passau, the German Forum New York, the concert  series "Spectrum" Villa Musica and "Teatime Classics" at Laeiszhalle Hamburg and participated in the  chamber music project "Young Artists & Friends" with members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Her solo and chamber music performances have been broadcasted by radio and TV stations worldwide,  including NDR, WDR, SWR and Sveriges Radio.

She became more and more involved in contemporary music and has worked with composers Dieter  Schnebel, Juliane Klein, Charlotte Seither and Jörg Widmann among others.

At the age of twelve Hellen Weiß enrolled as a pre-college student and studied with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Nora  Chastain and Rainer Kussmaul. She received further important musical impulses from Thomas Brandis,  David Takeno, Antje Weithaas and the Artemis Quartet.

She teaches at the „Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber“ Dresden and at the Hochschule für Musik  und Tanz Köln and has given masterclasses in Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea and New Zealand.  Her students have won prizes at international competitions and have won positions in some of the world's  leading orchestras.
